Living In Herriman

It has been 9 years since John and I moved our family to Herriman. Sometimes it feels like yesterday that we moved here and others it feels like we have always been here. Who knew that when we moved here that this would become home. Jarren was only 2 years old at the time and Jacob was still cradled with in me. Since then we have grown our family and Jarren is going into the 6th grade his last year before Jr high.

When we moved to Herriman there was only a two lane road in and out the area, a small shopping center , and gas station, and the library was in the basement of our still small city hall. Now we a 7 lane road in and out of the area several shopping options, food, a rec center and state of the art library with a soon to be built town center. Oh my new favorite road the mountain View Corridor which has made things convenient to see friends and family both north of us and south of us.

Living here has also felt like little get away from the hurried hussel and bussel of downtown Salt Lake and we are truly blessed with lots of park, splash pad, our newly favorite Blackridge Reservoir which is a little lake just a mile up the hill from us. We could walk there, and I have for my morning walk/run. Over all I love where we live and enjoy that we get to raise our children here.

Here are some recent pictures from the lake which is not big but not small. It is man made with nice beaches, grass area working bathrooms, concessions, covered picnic tables and a soon to be open playground.
