Are You Ready For Some Football!!!

This year Jarren decided not to play soccer, since he is old enough to try football. Well for the 1st and 2nd graders it is flag football. I have to say this and basketball have been my favorite to see Jarren in and watch. The team plays for an hour and each player gets a chance at the offense and the defense. This way each child can learn how to play all parts of the game. Jarren got to play with his friends from school and our neighborhood. Which is always lots of fun. Jarren really liked playing football and can not wait to play again next year. I must say I like watching them better then a game on TV. Although Jarren enjoys watching football on TV more now that he understands what is going on. John has told him that the game on TV is his training video. I say it is another excuse to watch football. But oh, well there are worse things they could do.

Time To Play Soccer!

This past month Jacob started soccer. He has been wanting to play since Jarren. Jacob was so much fun to watch. He loved getting in there and kicking the ball. It was funny because on his 1st game he kicked the ball out of bounds and kept going and going. The coach and I were trying to get him to come back but he was on a roll. Jacob was able to play soccer with two of his friends from our neighbor hood, which he was so excited to do. Soccer was fun to watch this year. I love seeing all these little 3 and 4 year olds on the field trying to make a goal.

And of course when the camera is out Joseph has to pose and get his picture taken. This picture makes me laugh, because he so cute!!
So if one is getting a picture taken the other needs his picture taken. Jarren being cool in the sunglasses!

All the kids had a great time!!! Jacob loves having his friends over to play.

Happy Birthday Jacob

WOW!!! Jacob is 4 now. Where did the time go!! He has turned into such a little boy. He is my shadow. He likes to try and help me around the house at the same time take it a part. Jacob also has a no give up policy. If there is something he wants or to try he will keep trying until he gets it right. Just like he did when he learned to ride his bike without training wheels. He saw Jarren doing it and that was that he had to do it to. He is great with his little brother as well. They are becoming good little buddies. Jacob is such a pleasure and blessing to have. He loves to sit and cuddle with you, but when it comes to play time. He his my hard player......

Jacob Alexander Files was born Tuesday October 12, 2004 weighing in at 7.6 pounds and 20 inches. The day of his birth was scheduled. I had gone in a week earlier and the doctor said I was still a 4 and 70%. He was surprised that Jacob had not fallen out by then since I had been at that stage for the past 2 1/2 weeks. He was concerned about me going to far over my due date and asked what I wanted to do. I said " Well this Friday is my due date and if he does not come by then we can induce next Tuesday instead of having an other weekly appointment". So we are checking into the hospital a week later at 7:30am. They did not waste time to get things started. Now since I was told that I a 50% chance an epidural would work with the bars in my back I chose not to try. Things did not go well with that when we tried with Jarren. But the nurse was very good and talked me into trying. This time it started out OK, but there was no relief as the contractions surged on with that evil drug pitocin. Finally I requested the epidural needle be removed, because it was only making things worse and hard to focus on what needed to be done with my breathing. Again a good thing that labor was only 3 1/2 hours and pushing was even better. Jacob only took two pushes. I was surprised how much easier it was with Jacob's delivery then Jarren's. The one thing that amazed me that day was wow I have two boys and thought things could not getting any better. Well I have been proved wrong. Watching them grow and learn is the best. I feel truly blessed and grateful to be a mother of boys. I only hope that I can instill in them to be good respectful young men one day.

Happy Birthday Jacob!!! You are loved!!

Party Like A 2 Year Old!!

Yesterday being Joseph's birthday was relaxing during the day. As evening time rolled around things got a little busy. First aunt Heather and Uncle Layne came over to bring a gift for Joseph. Since Heather and Layne will be out of town next weekend they also brought Jacob's birthday gift as well. It was nice to have them over to visit and watch the boys open presents. All three boys were so excited to have Heather and Layne over. In fact Jarren and Jacob did not want to go to dinner because they wanted to stay and play with Heather and Layne. We do not get see them much because a busy work schedule. I am sure they enjoyed watching the boys. Joseph got a four wheeler sit and scoot. Jacob got a Nerf football, truck that pulls two dirt bikes, and a dirt bike video that has not been turned off since we pushed play. After opening the gifts Layne took time to properly show Jarren and Jacob how to throw a football. They both caught on quickly and Layne just smiled enjoying his nephews fast learning. Thanks Heather and Layne for coming and getting the boys a birthday gift. It was great to have you over.

Jacob's turn!!

" Way Cool" Jacob

After, we went out to dinner at the Training Table. Where we met my parents. Which was great fun. It is always fun to take the kids to dinner, because you never know if you are going to get good little angels or cute little devils. They were very good this time. Now by this time Joseph is aware that it is his birthday and the boys have taught him out to say "happy brtday me".

My parents, Myself and the boys all waiting for our food.

John with is boys.

I promise they didn't have a lot to drink!

So continuing on after dinner we went back to our home where Joseph opened more presents and had cake and ice cream.

Joseph opening more presents!!

Joseph was not a fan of a lit birthday candle. Jarren had to comfort him while we sang Happy Birthday.

Yum!!! Cake and Ice Cream!!! At least Joseph was not afraid to eat it.

All in all it was a great day. But it was nice to put them to bed and finally relax. At least until next weekend for Jacob's birthday. So stay tuned for that adventure.

A Trip To The Fire Station

On September 30th Jacob's pre-school class went to our local fire station to learn fire safety. Of Course his favorite part was the fire truck. I was able to bring Joseph with me, who kept yelling "leek a fur truk". He enjoyed it as well. I do not remember going to the fire station as a child, so I thought the set up was great as well.

Happy Birthday Joseph

Wow! time sure goes by fast when you are having fun with the kids. It is hard to believe that Joseph is 2 years old today.....

Joseph Erin Files came into this world on Wednesday October 4, 2006 at 3:52 pm weighing in at 7.10 pounds 19 1/2 inches.
The day of his birth had been scheduled since my kids do not like to come out on their own. We were told to be at the hospital by 7am, but do to they were so busy I did not get their until 10am. Once settled into a room they started the IV. Which I fear more then the labor and delivery itself. Shortly after that they started that evil drug pitocin. And of course I can not have an epidural. We have tried with the other two. Yes, I have to do all natural. Good thing the labor was only four hours and pushing was easier then that. I just, well basically sneezed him out.
To get through the labor I have John, my sister Heather, and my Mom. But this time my mom had to sit and watch, because she thought it would fun to break her leg a few weeks earlier. So my cousin Amie took her place. Between the three of them they are to help me breath, tell me when the contraction is coming and going and do what ever I tell them to do!!
I would not change it for anything, because it is all worth it in the end to be able to hold this special gift from above. To know that I have been in trust to care and love one of God's children. Joseph has been such blessing to have. He is never shy to tell you he is not happy or if you do not get what he wants fast enough. He will keep you laughing trying to be big like Jarren and Jacob. It should be lots of fun to see how this next year turns out. He is growing so fast and is already turning into a little boy, which is so fun to watch and see what he will do next.

Happy Birthday Joseph!!! You are 2 now!!

Joseph at a week old
Joseph now, and he still has that binky!! I am working on it, or should I say am going to work on it. Jarren and Jacob didn't like the binky so this is all new for me. Wish me luck!!
