July 24th Pioneer Day

Yesterday was Pioneer Day July 24Th, which is a Utah State holiday. We celebrate the pioneers who came from east to west and settled this area along with the Utah's statehood. For that celebration we hung out with my parents. We went shopping at IKEA where we stayed for dinner. After we went back to my parents place where we finished off the fireworks from the 4Th of July. Jarren loves to help light the fireworks , Jacob just watches timidly. Joseph on the other hand does NOT like the fireworks. Joseph mostly hung out in the house and cried. We normally go all out on Pioneer Day, but this year it was more relaxed. Which was enjoyable for a change. Here are some pictures from the fireworks.

Jarren enjoying some of the cool fireworks.

I asked for a cute father and son photo and this is what I got!!
Here is Joseph in my parents home crying about the sound of the fireworks. So Sad!

Jacob covering his ears. He enjoys watching them, but does not care for the noise they make.

Joseph and Jacob hanging out inside where it is safe from the fireworks.

John and I

John and my Dad trying to decide what to light next.

John lighting the next fire work.

There it goes in the sky! I was lucky to catch this shot. I was not sure I would get it in time.

Here is a video that we took of my Dad lighting off a bunch of fire crackers. It is dark at first and you can not see my Dad, but wait and watch them pop with all that noise. It was lots of fun!!!
