Go Bees!!!

Not only does Salt Lake have a NBA Basketball team, The Utah Jazz, we have a pro soccer team, Salt Lake Real, and a Minor League Baseball Team, The Salt Lake Bees.

This past weekend my parents bought tickets for everyone to go see the last game before the play offs. Yes, Bees made the playoffs. The Bees played Tucson Sidewinders and after the first ending Bees were up two runs to one. In the seven ending the Bees moved a head leading six runs to one. The Sidewinders were able to get another run in at top of the ninth ending of the game. Making the final score 6 to 2. It was a great game and the boys were really excited about see a real baseball game.

When the game started the boys eyes were big as quarters. They thought it was the greatest thing to see a ball be hit all the way out to the back of the field. It was great since we were sitting in the 1st row along the 3rd base. So when the other team would practice pitching The boys got a really good look.

After the game they set off fireworks. I think it was Jacob's favorite part. I enjoyed watching a the game and see my dad watch his grandsons have a good time.

My parents enjoying the game. Thanks Mom and Dad for taking us to the game.
Jarren and Jacob showing off the little bats they got for being good.
Joseph steeling Grandma's diet coke.
The Bees are up to bat!!
The Sidewinders practicing their pitching.
The Bees mascot riding a round the field in between endings. Jacob that he was the coolest thing. Joseph would ask "were the Bee go?" it was so cute.
The whole family just before the fire work show started.
The fireworks!!! They were great.

Here is a video clip of some of the firework show. It was really good!

My Scrapbook Fun

The 1st Day Of School

Monday the 18th we went to meet Jarren's 1st grade teacher Mrs Fullmer. She was very nice and I know Jarren will enjoy being in her class. Tuesday the 19th was Jarren's first full day of 1st grade. I can not believe he is in 1st grade now! Jarren said he had a lot of fun and likes being at school. He has said that his favorite part of the day is lunch time.
Although I am excited for him to grow up and go to school all day. I was a little sad and yes I did tear up a little. It is so strange not have him at home during the day. It's more weird to not be able to call him and ask how he is doing. I know that Jarren will adapt well and make lots of new friends. I look forward to this school year and to see all the new things Jarren will learn how to do.

Summer Fun At Home

This past Saturday John and I took Jarren's training wheels off so he can learn to ride his bike. We have been a little behind on teaching him. And since we took so long to teach him he was more then ready to learn. Jarren learned in less then 5 minutes. Now I can not keep him off the bike. It is fun to see him grow and learn new things. John was so proud to see him on the bike. Way to go Jarren!!!
John teaching Jarren to have balance so he can ride his bike by himself.
Less then 5 minutes later. Jarren is on his own.

This past Sunday afternoon proved to be a nice day out side. We had some neighborhood kids over to play. They wanted to give skateboarding a try. It fun to see that some things never go out of style. John watched and help show them all how it is done in his day. John loves to skate board and loves to see that his boys are wanting learn as well.
Jarren is looking good!!
This Jarren's friend Bridger, who is just cruising on down the drive way.
Jacob getting a hold of it. He so wants his own stake board. Jacob's friend Issac their waiting patiently for his turn.
Jacob's friend Cooper , Bridger's brother, Has it down. Jacob in the back cheering him on.
Joseph not yet ready to try the skate board tries to ride the scooter. Joseph thinks he is big as his brothers. It is so funny to watch him try to be like them.

During the summer the boys get all worked up and need something to cool down. So what better way then sitting with an Otter Pop.
Joseph, Jacob, Issac, and Jarren. This was taken with the cell phone is not that clear.

Now that Jarren knows how to ride a bike he can go out to my sister Heather's place to ride a small motor cross bike. My brother-in-law Layne is really big into motor cross and has two small bikes that are just ride for the boys to ride. Layne said " Once the boys know how to ride a bike by themselves they can ride the motor cross bikes". So know Jarren is quick to remember and wants to go try. This made Jacob sad, because he does not know how to ride his bike yet. But Jacob is very determined and will work hard to get something he wants. So this past week Jacob has been practicing hard to get it. So over the last two days he now knows how to and wants to give the motor cross bikes a try. I told him that he needs a little more time on his bike 1st. He wants to ride everyday until he gets really good so he can ride Uncle Layne's bikes.
There he goes!! He started out wanting the grass just in case he fell.

Going Bowling

So Last week My friend Lizz called to get together and take the kids bowling before school started this week. It was Jarren's 2nd time bowling and Jacob's 1st time. We had a great time. It is so fun to watch the kids bowl. They actually do a better job then then I do. Joseph being to little to bowl had to watch, but mostly kept me running all over the place, because he wanted to try. We did lose a ball down an unopened lane, which Lizz tried to catch, but was unable to. Thanks for getting everyone together.

Now of course I would forget the camera and had to use the cell phone so the pictures might not be a clear as I would have liked them to be.

Jarren enjoying his pizza before his turn to bowl.
Jacob sitting patiently for his turn and slowly eating his pizza.
I love this picture of Joseph. He is so sweet here. He loves french fries.
Here is AJ and Jarren and taking a time out to eat.
Jarren trying to get a straight line down the lane for a strike!
Jarren after sending his ball down the lane and almost getting a strike.
Jarren helping Jacob pick out the right ball for Jacob's turn.
Jarren trying to be helpful again. I think Jacob was wanting to do himself though.
Jacob and Jarren admiring their work.
Joseph thinks he is going to try bowling. But it is amazing to see that he can lift the ball.

Blue October Song for Breaking Dawn

Here is clip of a song that will not be out until March of 09 by the group Blue October. Stephenie Meyer had it played at her Breaking Dawn Concert Series. She said that it applies to page 355 in Breaking Dawn. So Since they are one my favorite groups I thought I would share.
